HISTORY
Bonk’s Auto Pty Ltd
was established in 1982,
trading as Woodford Auto Centre, a service
station servicing a small country town.
In 1985 Woodford Auto Centre
was sold and a new business, trading as Bonk’s
Auto, was established in Caboolture.
This business incorporated a light to heavy towing
service as well as automotive repairs. A
branch of the towing service was also started
up at Strathpine on Brisbane’s northside.
In 1995 the towing business was sold,
retaining the automotive repairs
which traded as Airstrip Auto Centre at Caboolture.
In May 2003, Airstrip Auto Centre
was sold, and the Company moved to Mackay
and established Mining Plant and Light Vehicle Services,
combining labour hire to the mining
industry as well as a light vehicle workshop
in Mackay.
